Buying or selling a home is no less complex than an orchestral composition, and even world-class musicians like Yo-Yo Ma know the importance of a great conductor. Even Warren Buffett, the most brilliant investor of all-time, uses a realtor when buying or selling property. Here’s why you should, too.

Buying or selling a home is like Frank Sinatra’s relationship was to Ava Gardner. It’s complicated. I’m Eric with Eric Andersen Homes. Sometimes, buyers and sellers leave closing feeling like Bruno Mars, with a swagger in their step. Other times, they feel like they’ve been tub thumped by Chumbawamba. When you close on your home, I don’t want you singing Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” because you’re glad the nightmare’s over. I want you feeling like Rocky, running up and down the steps to “Eye of the Tiger.” But behind every Rocky there’s a Mickey Goldmill. Behind every Frank Sinatra there’s a Nelson Riddle. And behind every successful home closing is a great Realtor. A smooth transaction is like a great performance of Beethoven’s 5th. Everyone’s working together in perfect harmony. There may not be 100 musicians fighting over who gets to play the solo when you buy or sell a home. But there is a buyer and seller, agents, attorneys, lenders, underwriters, title companies, inspectors, and appraisers, for starters. The agent’s job is to be the conductor of this orchestra. They make sure everyone’s working together. Even if you can improvise like Miles Davis, homes are too expensive and the transaction’s too complex to ad-lib your way through it. Yo-Yo Ma may be one of the greatest musicians of all time, but even he knows the importance of a great conductor. Don’t let your next home purchase or sale turn into a Bittersweet Symphony. Hire a great agent. If you’d like my help, reach out anytime. I’m Eric with Eric Andersen Homes, a family-owned brokerage where we treat our clients like family.
