Despite all of the great information you can find online, there’s still lot of confusion about where to start when buying a home. I’m Eric with Eric Andersen Homes, and I had a client who once told me he did all of this research online about homes, property taxes, mortgages, home inspections—in short, everything you could imagine about real estate. But there was one question Google couldn’t answer for him. Once I find the perfect home, then what? Fortunately, I met my client before that happened at an open house. I helped him find the perfect home quickly (as in the next day), and it was awesome to help him buy his first home. He ended up leaving me one of my all-time favorite reviews, in which he said, “Eric made buying our first home as easy as clicking “add to cart” and “purchase” on Amazon!” Thanks, Adrian! I try. There are so many considerations that go into buying a home, and if you aren’t careful, even a small mistake or oversight could cost you thousands of dollars. Having a great agent is helpful not only in terms of finding the perfect home, but also guiding you through to closing once you have the contract. And as for cost, that’s the best part: working with me costs you nothing, as the seller pays my commission. Buyers often think they should contact the listing agent when they find a home they want to see, but what you may not realize is the listing agent works for the seller. Their job is to get the best terms for the seller and to have the buyer pay top dollar. And since the seller is paying the buyer agent’s commission anyway, why wouldn’t you want a professional looking out for you as you prepare to make what is likely one of the biggest investments of your entire life?
