There’s a great scene in the movie, “Ford v. Ferrari”, in which Matt Damon’s character, Carroll Shelby, takes Henry Ford II out for a test drive in one of the race cars. The corporate execs had been debating putting a lesser driver behind the wheel for an upcoming race, and Shelby wanted Ford to have firsthand knowledge about just how powerful and fast these machines are. The absolute terror on Ford’s face is evident as they speed around the track and make gut-wrenching maneuvers. When it’s all said and done, Shelby says something like this to Ford, “Sir, you want to win the upcoming race, correct? Then you see you can’t put just anyone behind the wheel. You need the best, someone who knows this machine inside and out.” The same might be said for real estate. When you’re dealing with an investment as significant as your home, you can’t entrust its sale to just anyone. You need an expert, someone who knows the market inside and out, an expert negotiator with a robust digital marketing plan. Going the for sale by owner or discount broker route won’t maximize your profit. To shift back to our racing analogy, you may make it across the finish line, but who wants to come in last? Or merely finish? Skilled professionals can make difficult and complicated tasks look effortless, but don’t mistake their expertise for the job being easy. When it comes to the sale of your home, you need an expert walking with you every step of the way, educating, advising, advocating, and protecting. I’m Eric with Eric Andersen Homes, and I’m here to do just that. Contact me today for a smarter approach to real estate.
