Highland Fields is a subdivision of custom homes located in Burr Ridge, which is an affluent suburb of Chicago featuring gated communities and sprawling estates. I’m Eric, designated managing broker and REALTOR® at Eric Andersen Homes, and in this video, I’m going to take you on a tour of Highland Fields. But first, a little bit about the area and homes you will see here. Highland Fields is located in western Cook County just east of County Line Road off 87th street, just south of German Church Road. A typical commute from Highland Fields to the University of Chicago Medical Center will run you between 35 minutes and an hour and five minutes assuming a 7am departure time. I-55 and I-294 are easily accessible from Highland Fields, and the closest commuter train is the Willow Springs Metra station, which is just about 3 miles away. Burr Ridge offers a number of area amenities, including parks, highly-rated schools, and the Burr Ridge Village Center, which offers over 30 boutique shops, restaurants, banking, Brookhaven Marketplace, and Life Time, an upscale fitness center featuring indoor and outdoor pools, group fitness classes, private member events, a kid’s academy, and more. Let’s talk a little about the homes you will see in Highland Fields. These are custom-built and range in price from about $1.3 million to over $2 million. The first homes in Highland Fields date from about 2001 & 2002, and new construction is still ongoing. Naperville-based DJK Custom Homes has several new construction options for sale in Highland Fields whose prices start at about $1.75 million and go up to almost $2.4 million. Square footage of the DJK homes starts at about 3,500 and goes up from there. The typical lot size for homes in Highland Fields ranges from about a half acre on the low end to about a full acre on the high end. These are large, stately homes, ranging in size from about 3,500 square feet up to 9,000 square feet or more. The exteriors are most often stone and brick and professionally landscaped, and inside, you will find high-end finishes, chef’s kitchens, tall ceilings, 1st floor bedrooms, and open floorpans. Highland Fields has a homeowner’s association, and as of this recording, the annual fee was around $1,500 for most homes. Let’s drive around and have a look! I hope you’ve enjoyed this video.
